Normandy is a region in France that is known for its rich history, beautiful scenery, and vibrant culture. Two popular cultural city tour in Normandy are a tour of the Côte Fleurie and a tour that includes Caen and Bayeux. The Côte Fleurie is a stretch of coastline in Normandy that is known for its beautiful beaches, charming villages, and vibrant art scene. This is a great tour for anyone who loves the outdoors, art, or simply relaxing on the beach. If you are interested in mediaval history and art, then a tour of Caen and Bayeux is a great option.

Should I choose the Côte Fleurie tour or the Caen and Bayeux tour?
Pick the Côte Fleurie if you like seaside towns, painters and elegant resorts: it takes you to Honfleur, Trouville and Deauville. Pick Caen and Bayeux if you're drawn to medieval history, William the Conqueror and the Bayeux Tapestry. If you have the time, the two make good complementary days.
Which Normandy towns can I visit on a private cultural tour?
Our cultural tours cover Honfleur, Trouville and Deauville on the Côte Fleurie, and Caen and Bayeux inland. Each tour is led by an expert guide who knows the history of these towns and adapts the visit to what interests you most.
Is Normandy a good destination for art lovers?
Yes. Normandy's coast inspired the Impressionists. Claude Monet and Eugène Boudin painted in Honfleur, and our Côte Fleurie tour follows in their footsteps. For older art, Bayeux holds the famous embroidered Tapestry about the Norman conquest of England in 1066, and Caen has two Romanesque abbeys.
Can I combine a cultural city tour with the D-Day beaches?
Yes. Bayeux lies just a few miles from the landing beaches, and Caen saw heavy fighting in 1944, so a cultural day there fits naturally with a D-Day day. Your trip designer can plan the two on consecutive days from the same hotel to limit driving.
