Head to western Brittany for a day in Quimper and Locronan with a local driver-guide. Walk Quimper’s medieval streets, lined with colorful half-timbered houses, up to its Gothic cathedral. Then wander the granite lanes and chapels of Locronan, one of the best-preserved villages in Brittany.

Which Brittany towns can I visit on a private cultural tour?
The collection covers several of Brittany's best-known towns: Saint-Malo, Dinan and Dinard on the north coast, and Quimper and Locronan in the west. For time on the water, see the private Brittany sea experiences, which include a cruise in the Gulf of Morbihan. You can add a detour to Normandy to see Mont-Saint-Michel, close to Saint-Malo.
What is the difference between Saint-Malo, Dinan and Dinard?
Saint-Malo is a walled port city with ramparts and a history of corsairs and explorers. Dinan is a medieval hilltop town above the River Rance, with half-timbered houses and artisan shops. Dinard is a seaside resort known for its Belle Époque villas and coastal walks. The tours combine them in different ways.
Can I visit Mont-Saint-Michel from Brittany?
Yes. Although Mont-Saint-Michel is technically in Normandy, it sits on the border, close to Saint-Malo and Cancale. The cultural tours page mentions a private tour combining Mont-Saint-Michel and Cancale, with access to the abbey and free time in Cancale. Ask your trip designer about adding it.
How much walking is involved in a cultural city tour of Brittany?
The town visits are done on foot with your guide, along ramparts, cobbled streets and old town centers, while a driver-guide takes you between towns. Some streets in Dinan and Saint-Malo are steep or uneven. If anyone in your group has limited mobility, tell your trip designer so the route can be adapted.
Is a guided tour of Saint-Malo or Dinan better than exploring on my own?
A local guide brings out the legends and stories behind each town, from Saint-Malo's corsairs to Dinan's medieval past, which are easy to miss when walking alone. On a private tour, the guide also handles transport between towns and adjusts the visit to your interests. Most tours still leave some free time to wander on your own.
