Imagine stepping into a scene from a romantic fairytale at Chenonceau castle, the magnificent chateau spanning the Cher River. In previous years, the castle has been adorned with a breathtaking display of « timeless bouquets. » These elegant floral arrangements, featuring single or dual blooms, have often included a symphony of orchids, creating a truly luxuriant shower of colors and fragrances. Young visitors have also been treated to a delightful surprise – giant candy canes and other oversized sweets decorating the monumental kitchens.
The spirit of the Renaissance genius, Leonardo da Vinci, continues to resonate within the walls of Clos Lucé Castle at Amboise. In a performance during the 2023 festive season, actress Pierrette Dupoyet brought da Vinci to life, portraying his fascinating life at Amboise and his relationship with King Francis I. Visitors could immerse themselves in the past further by taking a charming horse-drawn carriage ride through the five-hectare park.

The magnificent Amboise Castle, a stunning example of French Renaissance architecture, offers not only breathtaking panoramic views of the Loire Valley but also a captivating Christmas experience. In 2023, the castle transported visitors back to their childhood with its enchanting « Mini Worlds of Christmas. » This display featured miniature toy landscapes curated from the collections of the Musée de Wambrechies.
